Innovative and stunning! District News Commemorating one last game This is Grandview High School's last basketball season in that gym and on that floor. The new high school will open in Fall 2020 and the current building will be demolished over the summer. To commemorate the school spirit, the many great games and the many great players and coaches who have played on that floor over the past 42 years - we want to celebrate! On Friday, Feb. 7, after the girls' basketball game and before the boys' game, we want to recognize all the former basketball coaches and varsity players who have played on the current gym floor. Feb. 7 marks Grandview's last home game of the season. This year is also special because it marks the 30th anniversary of Grandview High School's 1990 boys' basketball State Championship win! During the ceremony all former players and coaches will be invited onto the floor for a picture. Be sure to help spread the word - lets fill the court will boys' and girls' basketball players past and present! Comments (-1) Make sure you're prepared for winter weather With winter weather on the horizon, we want to remind our families to be prepared for inclement weather. • Be sure to review our inclement weather plans visit www.gsd200.org/delays. • When a delay or closure is called information will be posted to our website, sent out through our GSD App and posted to our social media accounts, as well as calls sent out. You can also look for information on the TV news and radio. • Be sure to make alternate plans for your kids in advance just in case of delays/closures. • Be sure to dress you kids in warm clothes (jackets, coats, scarves, boots, etc.) when the temperature dips. Keep up-to-date with mobile app. Remember, finding out what's for lunch or breakfast throughout the district is as easy as checking your phone. This year the school district has started using Health-e-Living to create and broadcast our menus and a part of that is the My School Menus app. The app is available in the Apple App Store or the Google Play store under My School Menus. The app makes it a snap to find out what's cooking.
